public interface SenderFactory

Represents a class that knows how to select and build the appropriate Sender based on the given Configuration.SenderConfiguration. This factory is usually used in conjunction with the SenderResolver, so that the appropriate factory will be loaded via ServiceLoader.

Sender getSender(Configuration.SenderConfiguration senderConfiguration)

Builds and/or selects the appropriate sender based on the given Configuration.SenderConfiguration

Parameters:

senderConfiguration - the sender configuration

Returns:

an appropriate sender based on the configuration, or NoopSender.

getType

java.lang.String getType()

The Factory's name. Can be specified via Configuration.JAEGER_SENDER_FACTORY to disambiguate the resolution, in case multiple senders are available via the service loader.

Returns:

a simple factory name
